We warmly invite you to join us for our annual Ratha Yatra Chariot Festival on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM. The journey begins at the intersection of Templeton St and Marlborough Ave in Sandy Hill.

Let’s come together once again to pull the beautifully decorated festive cart through the streets of Ottawa, celebrating India’s rich spiritual heritage. The vibrant parade will end at the Sandy Hill Community Center Park at 12:00 PM, where joyous kirtan, dancing, and instrumental music will fill the air in a magnificent devotional procession. Admission is free!

The celebration continues at the park with a variety of vibrant activities including:

Ratha Yatra is a tradition that dates back thousands of years in Jagannatha Puri, India, where Lord Krishna is brought out in grand processions on majestic chariots. Today, this festival is celebrated around the world—in New York, Los Angeles, Dublin, London—and now, with great joy, in Ottawa!
